The material according to the present invention comprises a self-flowing alloy containing particularly from 18 to 35% by weight of chromium as well as fractions of boron and silicon in a ratio of 3 : 4. The alloy also contains from 0.1 to 25.0% by weight of iron, except for the range from 1.5 to 6. The layers obtained by means of said material exhibit a very high resistance to temperatures, particularly also to corrosion and oxidation.

The invention relates to powder metallurgy, in particular to powder materials for thermal spraying of coatings.
The aim of the invention is to increase the corrosion resistance under the influence of hot gases and against oxidation at high temperatures.
The proposed powder material has the following composition, wt.% 1
Carbon 0,01-2
Iron 0.1-1.5 and 6.0-25
Bor0,5-4,5
Silicon0.6-5.5
Chrom21 0-35.0

moreover, the boron content with a maximum deviation of ± 10% is 75% of the silicon content.
Example. The material proposed is a self-fluxing alloy, which provides increased corrosion and oxidation resistance only
when the boron content is 75% of the silicon content, the chromium content should be 21 -35%. A ratio of 0.75 ± 10% corresponds to the low viscosity level of the molten alloy during thermal spraying. Low viscosity is required to apply a homogeneous protective layer of the alloy on the substrate during thermal spraying.
The proposed material provides improved anticorrosion properties under the influence of hot gases, as well as resistance to oxidation at a high temperature of 700–900 ° C, while the known alloy maintains a temperature level of 550–600 ° C.
